Biometric entry is used where it matters that the credential cannot be lent, lost or copied. Fingerprint, face and other supported methods each suit different doors and different conditions, so the method is chosen per entry point rather than applied uniformly across a site.

How it works

Readers are positioned and lit for the method they use, and enrolment is planned as a real task with time allowed for the people whose biometric reads poorly. A fallback — card or PIN — is designed in from the start, so a failed read never leaves someone locked out of somewhere they are entitled to be.

Implementation

Templates, permissions and schedules are set up with the administrators who will maintain them, and enrolment and removal procedures are agreed. iSense supports reader additions, re-enrolment and troubleshooting after handover.
