Security Systems Engineer

About this work

The engineering side is where a design becomes a working system. Configuration, integration, commissioning and fault finding across surveillance, access control, alarm and screening equipment all sit here, and so does the judgement about what a site actually needs.

This role suits someone who thinks in systems rather than devices, is comfortable being the person who signs off that something works, and would rather trace a fault to its cause than reset it. Site work and travel are part of it.

This is not a ticket-driven role. We work in small project teams where engineers have full context, real ownership, and direct input on what gets built next.

What You Will Work On

• Configure, integrate and commission surveillance, access control, alarm and screening systems

• Diagnose faults across devices, cabling, network and configuration, and fix the cause

• Prove the system against the design at handover, and document what was installed

• Coordinate installation, integration, testing, and commissioning

• Support installed systems, including work on systems originally installed by others

• Help define engineering standards and review the work of peers
  
  

What We Are Looking For

• Strong background in electronic security, networking, electronics, or systems integration

• Hands-on experience commissioning real-world systems

• Ability to troubleshoot across hardware, software, and networks

• Good project and site coordination

• Clear technical documentation

• Professional client communication
