An intrusion system is only useful if the people receiving its alarms trust them. Detection is designed around where unexpected entry or movement would actually be a problem — perimeters, entrances, after-hours areas and critical rooms — and around what counts as normal in those places at each time of day.

How it works

Detector types are chosen for the environment rather than the price list, because a sensor that suits a quiet store room will not suit a loading bay with vehicles and weather. Zones, arming schedules, entry and exit routes, panel placement, tamper protection and standby power are designed as one scheme.

Implementation

Commissioning includes walk-testing every zone and agreeing what happens on an alarm: who is notified, in what order, and what they are expected to do. iSense supports zone changes, detector replacement and periodic testing after handover.
