Airports, terminals and cargo facilities run to a schedule, and security has to work inside it. Screening cannot become the reason a flight or a consignment is late, so throughput, queue space and staffing are part of the design from the first survey rather than something dealt with after installation.

How it works

A system for these sites usually combines walk-through metal detection and X-ray inspection at controlled entry points with surveillance over the approaches, landside areas and cargo handling, and access control on the doors between public, restricted and airside zones. Retention is planned around how long footage has to remain available.

Implementation

iSense designs, supplies, installs and commissions these systems, and supports them afterwards — recalibration, image quality checks, permission changes and fault response — so the checkpoint keeps working at the volume it was built for.
